Hey happy new year DA!  Hope you are all doing well.  I am hanging in there by the skin of my teeth.  I keep thinking I will come back and start doing fracs again, but I always get tired and fall asleep.  Must be getting old, or these kids are running me ragged.  Anyway, every once in a will I get a hair and make one.  Finding them in Maya was exciting.  New way to work.  I like how it turned out too.  Anyway, going to bed.  I will try to get on here more often.  I can see so many of you are still around and I still wanna say hi to a few more friends before I go back into hibernation.

 Well, it's about time!  Some creep has finally honored me by stealing my art.  Thank you so much to Mandy for discovering this bold theif.  Anyway, I thought I would introduce you to him.  I did a little bit of research about him online.  His name is Scotty and he lives in MA.  He's an out of work plumber who I guess tries to supplement his income by selling stolen prints.  His granny died recently and his mom is the executor of the estate and refuses to give him the $3500 his granny left him.  He also likes to steal copywrited DVD's and has been having a hard time.  They seem to skip on him.  He's stolen dozens of artworks from artists all over DA but mostly fractals.  He acts like he's some kind of big environmentalist which is somewhat incongruent with a thief.  His online handle is DSPGandalf (he can't even come up with a name that's not plagarized).  If you get a chance, make sure to visit his site and tell him what a great guy he is.

blog.dspgandalf.net/2008/02/21… to get to his 'site'

photos.dspgandalf.net/GalleryL… to get to his 'gallery'

www.dvdnextcopysupportforum.co… read Scotty complaining about his pirated movies not working!

forum.freeadvice.com/showthrea… check out how Scotties mean mom wont give him 'his' money!

medlibrary.org/medwiki/Talk:Re… and here Scotty enlightens us on 'Staying objective to survive the test of time...'  Scotty loves mother earth!

Thanks Scotty

and yes, Scotty has not bothered to copywrite this image but I am posting it here without his permission.   I'll be glad to remove if requested.

Mothballs Beware!

Hey ya-all, I spent some time today excavating ancient fossil fractals.  I discovered evidence that the ancestors of people who are making the most awesome fractals today* were doing the same thing back in the Days-of-Old (more than 1 year ago!)  Can you believe it ?

Way back in the before time, the early days of 2007 and earlier, fractal artists spent years, chiseling their beloved fractals out of stone, wood, plastic and glass.  (And as I have recently been informed by TThealer, even dino-dung!)  For months on end, they calculated complex mathematical formulas by counting beads on their abacus (all by moonlight, mind you) to determine the distances between the spiral elements.  All of this was accomplished without the modern conveniences of fire, the wheel, running water, and the IPhone!  From the depths of time, here are some moldy old relics from some of the greatest artists in the world.  Well, at least In My (not so) Humble Opinion.
